Morrisville State College is located in beautiful Madison County, the heart of New York State. The campus is approximately 35 miles from Syracuse and Utica. The central location and easy transportation access make the campus a perfect place for your group or event.
Our Catering Department is here to provide service to our campus community and our community at large. We know that it is not uncommon for the success of an event to be measured in terms of the food service provided. We are dedicated in our commitment of ensuring that your event is executed in a manner that displays professionalism and attention to detail. Our catering coordinator will work with you to develop a menu that is conducive to the atmosphere you wish to create.
Our newly opened show piece, the hospitality suite, may be an ideal area for your event. The room is open and airy with a picturesque view. Please contact our catering coordinator to schedule a showing of the space and to discuss your event.
The Conference Department has organized large events such as the American Legion Boys' State conference, The New York State PTA, The Empire State Games, and the Quilting-by-the-Lake Conference. We have also hosted smaller events for many area groups, including The American Red Cross, Cornell Cooperative Extension, the Boy Scouts, the Girl Scouts and NYS SETA. Our campus athletic resources are top-notch facilities. We boast a state-of-the-art stadium with seating for 1500, an indoor recreation center with track, an IcePlex with two sheets of ice, locker rooms, and concession area. The campus has a variety of athletic fields and equipment to help to make your camp a memorable experience.

The state of New York regulates the sale and service of alcoholic beverages. At this time on campus dining services is not licensed through New York state to provide alcohol at catered events.
Please plan to provide us with three working days notice for coffee breaks and seven working days notice for other catered requests. This allows us the planning time needed to ensure a successful event.
There is a $25 minimum required for catering set-ups. Catering requests for lesser amounts can be provided and picked up at Seneca Dining Hall.
If your group is tax-exempt, you must provide a copy of your tax exempt certificate prior to the event to avoid having tax applied to your bill. All campus departments requesting a catering service must provide a Purchase Order number two working days prior to the event. Unfortunately, without a PO# in place we are unable to provide service to your group.
To assure the proper planning for your event, we must know the number of guests you expect. This number forms the basis of your contract with the Catering Office. During initial planning, an estimated number can be used, however you must provide a guaranteed number of guests by the date stated on your event estimate.
If your guest count exceeds the guarantee by more than 10%, a service charge of $3.00 per person will be applied for each guest over the guarantee. When no guarantee is given, your bill will be based upon the original estimate or the actual number, whichever is greater.
Individualized events will be priced at current market prices.
